  • When do your commissions open?
We strive to open at least once a year, however we like to keep our queue short and turnaround time quick. Depending on how fast we work through our queue we may open more often. Keep an eye on our social media!
  • Can I get a quote?
Due to the amount of requests we get, we do not do custom quotes. You can get a general idea of our prices on our pricing page. More complex characters and designs will be higher in price than simpler designs.
  • Do I need concept art in order to be considered for a fursuit slot?
Yes and no, in order to be able to properly determine your quote if chosen and ensure that the build process is clear to me as a maker (ie. no guessing where markings are, knowing exactly what the side/back looks like etc.) I do require that you have clear concept art of a custom character that you'd like to have built. We also do artistic freedom/artist designed fursuits and make designs available whenever we open. You can always choose one of these to have made by us. Another option is an artistic freedom design where you give us prompts to work off of, for example "I'd like a wolf with natural colours, I like browns and grays. Please don't use any black" We are always available to help and if you have any questions about whether your concept art would work or not, feel free to shoot us a message!
  • Could you teach me how to do/tell me where to buy....
There are tons of tutorials and websites out there nowadays to get started! Have you tried youtube for example, or buying a pattern from Etsy? I can recommend Kloofsuits, YBLsuits, Mugiwara cosplay and Skyehighstudios for amazing patterns and tutorials! Our fur is sourced from all over the world, from America (BigZ and Howlfabric) to Poland (Sklep-hit) and China (Aliexpress, yes, really.) When in doubt always order a sample before ordering in bulk.
  • Do you do digitigrade suits?
At this time we do not offer this as an option for our commissions as we do not have any experience making this type of suit. Once we gain some experience we may offer this costume type in the future.
  • Does my suit have a warranty?
Yes, kigurumis and fursuits/fursuit parts may be sent to us for repair for up to 90 days after completion and original delivery. Our warranty covers repairs for general wear-and-tear such as popped seams, missing buttons and construction issues on our end at no additional cost to the client (other than shipping). Any construction issues must be brought to our attention within 90 days of delivery. Damage caused by the client is not covered under warranty and includes but is not limited to: stains, fire damage, mildew, heat damage, tears and holes in the fabric or other abuse.
  • Where are you located?
We are located in the Netherlands
  • Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide! Keep in mind that shipping internationally and customs can get expensive.
  • What age must I be to order from you?
You need to be at least 18 years old to order a costume. We do not make exceptions and do not work with parents or guardians.
  • What are your payment steps?
We require a 30% non-refundable deposit in order to secure your slot in the queue. After that, we need the remaining 70% before your slot comes up in the queue. You are free to make monthly payments, but payment plans should not exceed 6 months and are subject to a late fee if payments are missed. We will discuss a payment plan with you when you place the commission. Those that are paid off fully will however be placed at the front of the queue depending on payment date/completion. Nothing is started until 100% is paid.
  • What forms of payment do you take?
At the time of writing we take Paypal, Sumup or Bank transfer in Europe (IBAN). All prices and payments are in Euro.
  • Do you offer magnetic/velcro eyelids for your fursuit heads?
At this time we do not offer eyelids for commissions. We would like to get some more experience with them before offering them publicly.
  • My question isn't answered here.
If you still have a question, feel free to shoot us an email at critterworkshop@gmail.com or DM us on twitter. We reply on working days.
